Icicle Doll

I'm doing something I said I would never do.

I'm making an icicle doll.

I've always hated them and thought they looked spooky.
Well, I've changed my mind....I think.
I'm viewing them in a different way. They are a bit like ATC dolls.
I can put messages on them and printed faces (I've done loads of those with my new transfer paper!!)
I can stitch all sorts of things onto them.

We shall see. This one is not finished...its going to have some sari silk hair and embellishments on the front.

I'll show the completed version tomorrow - please come and have a look and tell me what you think.

I won't be offended if you don't like it!

Have a look at the ones on Jacky's blog - they are rather cute.

In fact they are the culprits - they changed my mind!

I really like your concept. I have never given much thought to these types of dolls. Now I'm thinking about them too. I like your way of thinking.

Hi Linda,

Have you seen the Comfort Doll project? http://comfortdolls.blogspot.com/

That might be just the place for a few of your icicle dolls! :)

Gorgeous Linda! I think you have done a wonderful job of your icicle. And I can understand why Jacky's icicles inspired you. She does such lovely art.

P.S Loved the mermaid Dotee you made for Segsa!

The icicles doll is lovely. I didn't know there was something called icicle doll but you are right they could be changed into beautiful ATCs. Looking forward to seeing it finished although I think she looks lovely as is.
