Soul Journal Continues

I joined the Soul Journal Yahoo Group yesterday. Kathryn Antyr is now providing prompts for those who want to continue the journey. This page is a result of her first exercise called 'Instant Gratification'!
It was great fun to do..... choose a picture from a magazine that has some meaning for you, choose a title word, draw contour lines and write in them. I splashed on some watercolour (in two colours I would NEVER normally use) and added a few embellishments.
It really was very quick - but satisfying!

I can just see you are right into these journals, and loving it.
The colours you manage to create are wonderful, and your work shows alot of expression too. Well done Linda, i cant wait to see what you do in this journal. You are such an inspiration. I imagine that your creativity has more adventure in the journals than on atc's. You have come such a long way since the beginning of the year and your work is always beautiful. Jaqi

It warms my heart to hear how satifying this exercise has been for you and the other lovelies. Your page reminds me of Teesha Moore, who was my inspiration for this execise. I love the color of the dancer's stockings and shoes - so bold, so adventurous. This {soul dance} is fun to do with you!

I never get tired of looking at your work, Linda. The green leg on this one reminds me of "Wicked". Have you seen it? Oh, and I also loved your photos from your latest trip!

I am loving seeing your journalling develop more and more with each page Linda. I can see you are having fun with it too!

This page is wonderful. You did a wonderful job (and even more wonderful considering these are not your fave colors!)

Linda I so love all of your journalling pages, I've never done one of these before but I am becoming more and more inspired by what you are doing. I wish I had time to do all the things I'd love to do but there don't ever seem to be enough hours in the day. Like yourself my creating seems to be pulling me in constantly different directions. Maybe I haven't quite found my 'niche' yet :)
I hope soon that I will get the chance to start a journal of my own.
hugs

Hi Linda,
It' so interesting that you chose "dance" as your theme for instant gratification...last night I had a conversation with a close friend about yoga being like a dance with the Divine...a subtle, sensual dance that starts with the breath...Your "misty" style of blending green and red tones speaks to that subtlety of breath flowing, moving, indeed dancing as we experience the joy of connecting to our inner Divine while fully expressing our uniqueness; through movement we offer that blending of inner and outer for all to see.
Namaste,
Laura
