Kimmie at http://artinredwagons.blogspot.com/ has suggested Tea on Tuesdays ..........
.''.......make yourself a cuppa, post a picture of it on your blog with a little something to say about your day, and then link back to me (Kimmie). We'll all make the rounds to see what's up with our blogging buddies and take a pause for some friendship over a hot cuppa ...... ''
So, here's my tea - it contains lemon, limeflowers, milk thistle and lemon verbena. I think I may throw in a slice of lemon as well to give it some flavour.
I do try to like fruit and herbal teas....but many of them just taste like dishwater to me. (Not that I've ever drunk dishwater...)
As for today - well, I helped my daughter move back home. Not something either of us really want, although we love each other very much (she liked having her independence, I liked having a tidy house and a guest room), but she was made redundant a few weeks ago and is struggling to find another job. Living away from home is not an option for her until she does.
We both hope she finds a job very soon........

Oh your tea looks scrumptious!
With your daughter it's just another part of the mother/daughter journey - it's special for her that there's a light on at home for her :)
I always thought that was so curious of the Brits to be both straightforward and polite in their use of the word "redundancy" in place of "lay-off" (which sounds either lazy or vulgar or both - typical for us americans)
hoping a job comes round soon!! i love your tea cup!!
seeing your Detox tea and still thinking of your celebratory evening...dishwater huh....you make me smile!
Sending all good wishes your way, hoping great opportunities arrive at your daughters door very soon
Oh and I just saw the lace you made over at Kimmie's. My goodness woman, is there nothing you are not good at :)
Looks very pretty but I don't like the sound of it Linda *giggle* I really prefer grinding my own coffee beans and roasting a nice cup of that, but if is tea I like Earl Grey :)
Forgot to mention your daughter moving home, I feel for you in one way, (mine is the same age and moved out a year ago) but at least she has a lovely mom who is always there for her, and willing to help while she is going through a rough time :)
I'm afraid I like good old 'builders' tea and it's probably not nearly as healthy as yours! Yours looks very artistic and ladylike. Best wishes to your daughter - hope she finds new work soon. I suppose she is not the only one in that position and how fortunate she has you to turn to.
Pretty picture! I'm not a tea drinker, but posted my favorite cup-a... or I mean mug-a!
I try to like herbal tea to but they just dont taste of much do they LOL. Hope your daughter finds a job soon.
Thanks for poping by my blog and commenting on the video, RE the face was done with titun buff and i used water colour crayons for the lips eyebrows and shadow around the neck hope this helps the camera was playing silly buggers that day
The tea LOOKS delicious but I have to agree re the dishwater (and no, I haven't tasted it either). I like YORKSHIRE TEA but it has to be tealeaves and not tea bags and I always use the teapot.
Hope the mother/daughter duo soon settle to a reasonable routine - so hard for youngsters with the job situation - good luck to her in her search for an alternative.
Often these bad times open up unexpected doors and when reflected upon can be seen as a good thing - I trust this will be so for her.
xxxxxxxx
