I used moda fabric (thank you Dot), Angelina, gold fabric, torn text, an image printed onto fabric and some sequin waste. Here's a close up of the sequin waste and my messy stitching (which was intentional of course, I honestly tried to make it shabby!! )
Do you think I ought to do more to it....hand stitching? Beads? Knots? I can't decide.
I've done both covers, front and back.......now I just need to do the other side of this page and then I'll show all on Monday.

Just a very personal opinion as I think it is lovely anyway but I would also like to see some handstitching or beading bringing the outer frame into contact with the inner picture, perhaps on one side/end or a corner. Maggi
I love it just the way it is!! My personal philosophy is...when I get to the point where I question whether it needs MORE, I just leave it be!!! From experience I have learned (the hard way)that when I add the MORE I always ruin it!
I also need to share that I have always stayed away from the fabric/sewing kind of projects. At first it was that I didn't have a sewing machine (just an excuse I found out after my good friend Sandy gave me her machine when she purchased a new one). For some reason the fabric/sewing part intimidates me. One of these days I will have to learn how to thread that baby and start sewing away. Since my personality is kind of obsessive, once I do get started I probably won't stop!!! Sorry for being so wordy!
-hugs, shari :-)
I like it as it is too. What Shari says is interesting as I am happy with the sewing bit but intimidated by collage, stamping and other allied paper techniques. It's just a question of what we know and feel safe with.
Thanks for taking the time to reply all of you! You're very kind saying it looks ok as it is (but I think I'm going to do just a little bit more).
Shari and Heather...go for it. You never know what you're capable of until you try. (Oh I've said that a few times over the years, LOL!!)
Linda...this is so beautiful. I am just mesmerized by it and keep staring at it. The image is wonderful and I love the colors for the background.
OMG I´ve missed my words. This is outstanding. Absolutely special and unique. Love them.
Have a sunny weekend my friend.
So pretty, Linda! Maybe a little handstitching/embellishment would add something, but then I'm a fan of embroidery work of all types. I love those little inchies you did. What do you use them for? They are SO cute! Hope all is well and springy at your place.
It is beautiful as it is. But if you feel you need to do more then perhaps a bit of beading or something else that you like.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, I love it just the way it is, but then I like simple rather than too fussy :)
oooo this is just so gorgeous, peaceful and beautiful Linda as it is.....of course a few little seed beads never hurt anything ;)
Gorgeous piece of work!
This is beautiful! i will enjoy seeing it's progress as you post it :)
Oh Linda what stunning colours its wonderful, and a beautiful image, your work just gets better all of the time, you are such an inspiration. JAQI X
Linda this is beautiful and I love your them of Angels (so looking forward to working in your book).
I think its personal taste as to whether you embellish your page with embroidery and/or beading. I personally love stitching etc. as it adds so much texture, but I think you just know when its done to your satisfaction.
I better get off this computer and start some more stitching or I'll be lagging behind.

I think most anything made is beautiful because before it was created it was a piece of someones' soul. I believe your soul was speaking to you when you asked your question, which means you already knew the answer - embellish away!
So beautiful. You are very original.
Beautiful. Love the blues/golds.
Definitely beads and knots etc. It's beautiful as it is, but I know what you mean. Now I WANT one!! (especially angels too ...) You clever CLEVER person!!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeousness Linda! Oh my - you have done such a wonderful job - love the touch of sequin waste (you are so clever). Glad you could use some of the Moda fabric I sent you (isn't it gorgeous?).
