A Special Day

Today is our Pearl Wedding Anniversary - we've put up with each other for 30 years!
I made a card for Brian - its a bit odd, but he loves it.
The pearl is stuck to the inside, but peeps through a hole on the front.

I used pearl embossing powder for inside the oyster.

It says If the world is my oyster.......you are my pearl.

We aren't always this soppy - LOL - but it is a special occasion!!

By the way, I've been told that if you leave the photos at the top of the post (where blogger puts them!) they will open in a new window. If you drag them down below the text then they won't.

Try it out!

Oh Happy Day!

Well the postman was definitely a popular man today! Not only did I receive my parcel of treasures from The Fruit Pixie, but I got my membership pack and ATC swaps from Leonie as well!
More of those another day.

Chriss Rollins has inspired me with her beautiful vintage work so I ordered some stamps and pictures. I have also paid £1 for 50 download images of Edwardian and Victorian women from ebay. So...I'm ready to have a go.

I only hope I can do them justice....we shall see.

In the meantime, here's the card I made my husband for Valentine's Day....

....aaaahhhhhhh.........

Mothering Sunday

Just thought I'd show the card I made for my mum. Well, its a zig-zag mini book really.

I made the bag by undoing a shop-bought one and working out the folding technique.

We had a good day - took my mum and dad out for lunch at The Carpenters at Dale Abbey. My daughter gave me a voucher for a beauty treatment at the hotel where she is a receptionist (is she trying to tell me something?).

My son gave me Take That's DVD 'Beautiful World Live' - must admit I had given a few hints out, but I'm glad he was taking note!

Be filled with Wonder and Peace.....and Cosiness

I hope you're managing to embrace this change of season. I'm so much better at accepting the end of summer than I used to be. I...
