I hope everyone had a great Christmas.
Things didn't quite go according to plan for us because Mum had a bad fall 4 days before Christmas Day and fractured her femur (close to the hip replacement she had done last Christmas.....eeek!) And no - the snow and ice weren't to blame - she was just trying to get to the toilet at 6.00 in the morning and stumbled outside her bedroom door.
So as you might expect, I've been rather busy and apologise if I haven't managed to visit your blog over Christmas. I know you'll understand and I promise I'll be with you in the New Year.
Peachy is sad that the snow has gone....he absolutely loved playing in it and we had difficulty getting him back in the house. He looked so funny chasing snowflakes and jumping in the air....
....but Christmas tired him out, poor thing :-)
Hope you're not too tired after all the festivities and you still have some energy left to celebrate the start of the New Year.
I shall do my best...... ;-)

Peachy looks...well, um....just Peachy! Animals love the first snow, my two little yorkies think it's a party when it snows.
I hope you are well and enjoying your art. Your New Year digi is beautiful. I love that you used a blooming bulb....new growth...yea!
I actually finaly did my first real digi art over at PaperWhimsy at the digi group. It's not fab, but it is a good start. I hope to do more. Such fun!
You inspire me so much, Thank you!
Hugs,
Terri

so sorry to read about your mum, U do hope she makes a full recovery;
but I think I'm in love with Peachy
Your poor mum, I hope she makes a speedy recovery. Having to hide the Peachy pictures from my cats, I didn't let them out as it was so cold, they tried to tell me but it's snowing but I was a meany and kept them from all the fun. Peachy just gets more adorable everytime I see him :)Health and happiness to you and yours in 2011, love Sharon
I'm so sorry about your Mum, Linda, I do hope she makes a good recovery. Your New Year card is beautiful. Happy New Year to you and yours and I hope it's a healthy and creative year for you. x
Sorry to hear of your mom's misfortune. I hope she isn't in pain and is recovering as well as possible. I assume she isn't very young and I know healing seems to go slower the older we get. I am sending healing energy towards her. Sweet photos of Peachy and his pads. Seems unusual for a cat to enjoy the snow, more power to him! Rest well buddy! And happy new year to you, Linda!
Get well wishes to your mom, Linda, and a Happy New Year to all of you. Looks like Peachy could almost disappear in the snow with that white tummy! What a cutie!
Hi Linda
How horrible for your poor Mum. I hope she is recovering well. Peachy is just so adorable. What a beautiful cheeky and playful spirit he has. I love the sleeping photo, in amongst all his toys. So sweet.
Happy New Year and all the best for a wonderful 2011!

Sorry to hear about your Mum's fall Linda - hope she is as comfortable as she can be at the moment. It doesn't take much to knock the stuffing out of our elderly relatives and I can appreciate that things must have been tricky for you over the Christmas period.
Loved your pictures of Peachy in the snow! I'm so glad that it's all gone now - I hate it!
Happy New Year to you and hope your Mum is soon on the road to recovery.

I can't BELIEVE how big Peachy is now!! Hope your mum is getting better too?
Oh, noooo.... your poor Mom Linda..... and poor you too...I know how it goes when our Moms get ill or injured.
Your pics of Peachy in the snow are great... some of them really love it. I used to have a couple who certainly did.... they would play and tunnel in the deep stuff... what fun for them.
Hope things sort themselves for your Mum and they are able to make her comfortable... oh, it must be terrible to fracture a hip.... keeping fingers crossed it never happens around here... to me....
I quit taking the drug Actonel...which is for my osteoporosis. Because...it is more of a nuisance it seems than it can be worth because of abnormal fractures and not being able to get a dentist to do any deep dental work. But... then... there are risks of regular fractures as well.... oh, how on earth do we win with medical stuff anyway?
so sorry to hear about your mom. i hope the new year is filled with healing and good health for you all!
So sorry to hear about your mom. Hope she is fully recover.
Wishing all the best for you and your family for this new year.
Missed you but totally understand & just because I didn't comment here yet doesn't mean I wasn't thinking of you all.
Hope you had the best celebrations possible & a healthier, happy & of course creative 2011. Lovely pics. Bright sunshine here!

Sorry to hear that your mum had a fall. Hope she is much better now. I have been having a great time catching up with blogs and yours was one of the first I had to check out. Have been drooling over your artwork.
Wonderful photos - Peachy cracks me up, oh, to be a kitty...
I'm so very sorry about your mom, mine did something very similar about two years ago in nearly the same manner and they do come back but the rehab therapy is tough. Hope you are coping well, art is my therapy!
