Two Versions.....

I spent a happy hour this morning playing with some new bits and pieces from Paper Whimsy.
This my digital collage..........
These are the elements I used ........

And this is a version I made from paper, card, metal studs and a pressed flower.

So did you watch Downton Abbey last night? I'm not normally a fan of  period dramas but I was so enthralled by the trailer, I couldn't wait to see it.

(Is it because I have a 3-column blog that video clips aren't complete? Can anyone help me with this? Ah well - you can see the proper version here at YouTube.)
Update...thank you Kit and Kaboodle. I've reduced it down to 300 by 193......much better!
BTW the brilliant choir is called Scala and you can hear the full version here.
***********************************************
A while back I took a photo of a friend's daughter who was a bridesmaid at a wedding. I made a scrapbook page at the time but last week decided to do something digital with it. The clipping mask is one of my favourites; its by Anna Aspnes at Designer Digitals .

The text is from a kit by Natali at Scrapbookgraphics. I also used various brushes and textures, plus a free background from Oscraps.

OK.....time to drag myself away from the computer and do some ironing I think :-(

I'm so looking forward to watching this on ITVplayer! With regards to the size of the youtube video, when you upload it to your page, look for the word 'width' which appears twice in the embedded coding followed by 3 numbers. This determines how wide your video will appear on your page which you can play around with and change (remember to change both sets though!). I have two panels on my blog and find that 'width 535' fits perfectly but it might be a little smaller on a three panelled page? Hope this helps!

Your PW creations are really lovely Linda!!!
I WISH I had been able to watch Downton Abbey ... I had to content myself with Masterpiece Theatre's Inspector Lewis & Hathaway last night :)
Happy New Art Week!

I recorded Downton Abbey last night... not sure if I'm going to watch it yet, though that trailer may have me convinced and it does have rather an all star cast.

That picture of the bridesmaid is just adorable. What a little darling!!

Linda, I was drooling over these very same PW images the other day, but I don't do digital (boo hoo!). I love what you did with it, both digi and paper. How fun!
I have not heard of DA, but it does look very intriguing.
The page with your friends daughter is gorgeous!
Hugs,
Terri

I nearly missed this post - it snuck in behind some others. What a joy! Your digital art is stunning - all of it - and the little bridesmaid image is absolutely delightful. You have made this technique you own speciality. Hoping to see Downton - it looks good.

It's lovely to see someone master a craft and move it into art!

Now about the ironing...I once wrote a blog roughly entitled ~a photo to shock my mother-in-law~ who has often ironed for me when she is visiting. She enjoys it, and she is a helpful soul even when tasks aren't her cup of tea. But once upon a time,I actually emptied my basket ( once, I am telling you) and photographed the empty bottom of it. Your wry pull away from the computer to iron made me laugh. Lots of folks tell me they never iron, but you can't love or work with fabrics and never ever iron.
SO...I hope you enjoyed it.

I came by way of Lay Hoon's blog for the lotus flower book, thanks for the instructions, I'll be trying it soon, but then I just got engrossed and I have wasted entirely too much time reading back, now I have to bookmark and go back to more domestic tasks, but I just wanted to say hello and how much I enjoyed what I have seen so far...
