Macro Magic.....

Since discovering the macro setting on my camera I've become a little bit obsessed with the centres of flowers...

...and other things.....

Not forgetting the cordyline bark ;-) (This section is actually about 1cm in size).
Scary!!!!

Now I need to do something with them........

Please click on photos for more detail!!

Wow! Such clarity!
The second photo, is that a Cosmos flower? The centre seems to be surrounded by little stars...could be a stitching project there....
I'll have to look at the neighbours' Cosmos and see if I can see the 'stars' in hers!
I bet you haven't put that camera down since you first had it!

Have a great weekend,

Sandie xx

These shots are incredible. I can tell you are having so much fun with this setting on your camera.....You posted about the Micro setting before and you have motivated me to do the same....Now I am going everywhere taking pictures of the tiniest things....
What kind of camera are you using?

Hugs and blessings,
Nancy

I'm the same since I started sketching/painting. I've become obsessed with the detail and just love the designs and patterns of nature.
Love these photos...might even try to sketch up a few of those centres if thats OK with you.

I know you've probably told us before, but sort of camera do you have?

Have a lovely weekend.

These are great pics, and like Sandie I love those little stars. I always take loads of photos of bees and love to watch them almost disappear into some flowers. I must make friends with the Macro facility on my camera. Thanks for sharing these.

I love the detail you get with a macro lens in the centre of flowers - you see things that you can't see with a naked eye. What to do with them - don't know as I suffer from the same problem. Just found you and love the blog btw

Your pictures made me think of this:-
To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

Fabulous! I have always loved macro photography. You did an amazing job capturing the centers of the flowers as well as the bee and ladybug!
The tree bark too is really something. It is so fascinating to look at the macro world.
Hugs,
Terri

What fabulous close-ups, especially the buttercup. We tend to pass over 'weeds' but it's centre is as interesting as any of the exotics!
