FOQ Part 2

As promised here are some more photos from the Festival of Quilts. Sorry there are no full sized ones....I prefer to record details. If you'd like to see some full-sized quilts, Julie has some fantastic photos and information on her blog and Maggi  has some great slide shows and photos ...I recommend you visit both!

These are just a small selection pf my photos (thank you Maggi for the loan of your camera on the day - can you believe I forgot mine!!!!!)

Thank goodness I remembered my purse.......... :-)

Beautiful, textured felt from C21st Yarns........
A luscious kit from Stef Frances that I can't wait to start on.....
A wonderful book from Ineke Berlyn.....

And another from Maggie Grey......so many great ideas!

 Fat quarters......
And mulberry bark.
I think that's about it :-) Apart from loads of postcards, greetings cards and pretty business cards.
Roll on the Knitting and Stitching Show!!!! (Remind me to take my camera Maggi)

Last week we went to Knaresborough again for the arts festival.......that will have to wait for the next post. But before I go......a couple more photos. When I collected Peachy from the cattery at the end of our holiday......
.......the owner took me to see one of the other 'guests' who had surprised her by giving birth to 6 kittens half way through her 2 week stay!!!! The owners didn't say anything about her being pregnant so they'll have a surprise when they get home :-) Wonder if they'll get charged extra!

Gorgeous pics from FOQ and gorgeous goodies too. I love the look of Ineke Berlyn's book. I bet Peachy was pleased to have you home again. Dear little kittens - someone's cat has some explaining to do!

The good thing about lending you my camera is that I now have lots of detailed photos as well!!

Good job that Peachy has had the snip otherwise he might have got the blame for those lovely little bundles! I hope that the owners do actually want them when they come back.

That's a bit of a surprise for the returning cat-parents! Very sweet though :)

I was so cross with myself, I forgot to go back to that stall for the mulberry bark. Can you remember the name of the stall?

I hope Peachey is speaking to you and is happy to be home. Our cat used to give us the cold shoulder after being in the cattery.

OOh, you lucky girl - Festival of Quilts and Knitting & Stitching too!! I can't go to any of the shows this year due to my rigid treatment schedule and I am desperate to take my purse to a show!!! Shopping online has its place but doesn't beat seeing the wonderful items for sale at the big shows!

Can't wait to see what you do with your goodies - they are fab!

As much as I like textiles in general, Mum cat and kittens get best photo from me and yes, I did enlarge it! I hope they aren't too upset when they get back off holiday!(owners).
The cattery, I wonder if it's the one I had a cat from called 'Bogey'? She was an elderly (17yrs+) lady, black and very loving eventually! I had her for nearly 3 yrs when I lived in Ilkeston.

I love the details you've picked out! It's amazing - every blogger has focussed on something different. :o) And I'm drooling over your goodies. So much so I think I'm going to have to go to the Knitting and Stitching show without my purse!!

Thanks for sharing photos of the quilt show since there is no way I will be able to attend. Looks like you picked up some fantastic goodies, that kit is intriguing, can't wait to see what you make of it. Cute kitties, the mother cat looks so much like one of my past cats with her calico marks and the orange tabby marks on her legs. I miss that little mischief maker! You and Maggi have some fun times together!

Bet you walked a little faster out of the "cat house" ;) as to not be tempted by one of those precious lil kittens...mew mew

What a wonderful feast for the eyes your photos are and I haven't even gone in for a closeup yet!

It will be grand to see what you create after sun a fab outing with friends to a most inspiring show...bet it felt like you were not completely dressed once you'd realized you forgot your camera...I feel that way (about forgetting to put on earrings too)

oxo
p.s. thank you for showing so much beauty and possibility in the joy of creating

Aw, that Mommy kit is just like my old Tally, good memories ;)

My fave quilts are the heart & spoons & the bottom 'rainbow' one, lovely. Fabulous goodies, who could resist?

Thanks for your kind words, I feel a little less bereft of the Middlest.

Oh the quilt photos made me DROOL, when I wasn't feeling terribly discouraged that I'd never make anything half as beautiful ... then the kitty pictures cheered me up again. Working on a war of attrition with Himself to sneak another furry person into the house!

Thanks for the nice photos, Linda. It looks like you got some lovely batiks? That Peachy is just too cute....and hard to remember he was once as small as those newborns, eh?
