I hate days like this........

Well I'm sitting in my studio looking out at a depressing scene today....sorry, but I'm not one of those positive people who can look at rain and see beauty. I love bright, sunny days - they make me happy!!
But it does remind me of a fantastic performance by Mika on a recent TV show....see the end of this post.
I had a great day yesterday teaching at the Beetroot Tree but forgot my camera so unfortunately have no pictures! I'm still making Lotus Flower books though and hopefully tomorrow I will put a tutorial on my blog showing how to make them. (Thank you to all those people who have emailed me and asked - I will do my best!)
Here are two more postcards...the first was made for Emma and her 50 swap.....

.......and this has one of my digi-collages transferred onto fabric. Both flowers are from Paper Whimsy digital downloads. Click for more detail.

I was lucky enough to win a give-away on Sue's blog (Heloise) last week. She makes wonderful fabric creations.......like this gorgeous pendant......and these funky earrings (which I have already worn twice!) Love the tag as well...thank you Sue :-)

Now for the song....enjoy!! (If it doesn't play well - here's the link instead)

ok here is one nice thing about rain ... it does leave everything so fresh and sparkly looking :) you can send it here if you like ... I would rather not have to water the garden

What you do with color is just SO amazing Linda, combing all of your talents to create really splendid pieces! Congrats on the lovely gifts you won too!

Hoping the sun shines again for you soon!

Your postcard is beautiful. Love the colours and congratulations on your win. What lovely treasures you won. Hope the sun shines soon too. However we do need some rain as the ground has become too hard.

Your postcards are so beautiful and I envy the ladies who were able to attend your workshop. Congrats on winning the lovely giveaway goodies and remember, when it rains you have a wonderful excuse for staying in the studio - no use cleaning windows or gardening or hanging washing out, etc!

PS Being a gardener gives me mixed feeling on a day like this ;)

Well, I did enjoy the song at the end of your post!
Love the postcards, especially the colours.
You lucky girl winning those earrings! nice colour too.
I made some wire beads on sunday morning, then later last night after I got home from work, I tried some with seed beads in. blogged about it and hopefully will take some pics and upload them tonight.

All those weeks I had off from work, I was sort of 'numb' and couldn't do much, now I'm back and wish I had the time. Goes to show, you should always be careful if not specific what you wish for LOL!

I am fed up with the rain too..I think the problem is that we have a couple of days of sun and get our dresses out etc thinking we are going to have sun for weeks and be able to chill out with a nice glass of wine & bbq then the miserable rain comes the next day but then again we always have something to talk about at bus stops! love your cards and your digi stuff on fabric

It's the endless overcast days that get to me.
Still we've already had better weather this summer than all of last year put together, at least that's the way it feels to me anyway.

The thing is with these lovely sunshiny countries is all the poisonous bugs and diseases they have to contend with.... which makes England more appealing, but then life seems to be made up of a series of compromises anyway.

These are beautiful, love the colour composition as always.

I hope you're managing to embrace this change of season. I'm so much better at accepting the end of summer than I used to be. I&...
