Whats on my workdesk..........

I've just been over to Rosie's blog to see what she's been doing today (great scrapbook pages!) and thought I'd copy her idea and show whats on my workdesk. The link is WOYWW (Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday). There are 95 other workdesks to see, if you have a spare minute or two!
Anyway.......on my rather scruffy desk you can see I've started some sketches for a new online class which I've subscribed to...... Suziblu's 'Piety and Passion' . We are learning to paint 3/4 faces (not easy!) and Suzi is using paintings from the Tudor period to inspire us.
After drawing a starter face, we tear out the image and attach it to wood with matte medium. Then the fun starts - gesso, paint, crayons, crackle glaze, distress inks, fabric, jewels, flowers, beeswax........ I'll let you know how I get on :-)

What a lovely idea about taking photos of our work desks.... though mine is a complete mountain of chaos at the mo - big eek!

Wow.... love your new faces and can appreciate that 3/4 profiles are quite tricky....super start, though. Was interested in doing that particular course with Suzi too, but realise that I probably need to do the 'poetry' one first. Looking forward to seeing how your ideas develop.
Big hugs xxx

Your faces look very delicate, I imagine I'd have too heavy a hand (maybe one day I'll try!)I'm just off to see if my desk is worthy of a snap ;)

I am enjoying The Tudors on HBO or is it Showtime here in the states, very bawdy...I am such a medieval fan!

This is exactly what's on my work table too--I'm working on a face. I'm so glad in Suzie's Lesson 3 to see her fix her mistake. I was working along with her and my nose seemed too long (as usual),and I would never have fixed it, but I watched how Suzi did it, and I fixed it! I'm still having trouble with noses--I haven't even tried the profile.

I'd be ashamed to show anyone my workspace right now - it is so untidy and no wonder I can't get started on anything. Your drawings are beautiful and that project sounds very interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing how you get on with it.

Thank you for sharing your desktop. I would share mine, but right now it looks like something exploded, literally!
Your new Suzi class sounds fabulous. Your drawings are so well done! I hope you share it with us as you go along.

Rather you than me with the faces. They are looking good. I can't believe that you call that desk scruffy. I would never be able to join in WOYWW as no one would believe there was actually a desk under all the mess!

Your class looks very exciting and my work table? Oh well it is all over the place yours looks hundred times organised and neater than mine.

I love anything Tudor, and I know you are going to make these already amazing sketches into something spectacular! You really know how to shade Linda :)

Good to see you are enjoying yourself creatively.
Your new course ties in beautifully with the last lot of digitalised historical ladies you did.
Hope you have fun :-)
Take care

Your sketches are so lovely and I LOVE how the red-headed girl is turning out! I wish my work space were as neat as yours. I always have to crop mine out when I show works in progress!
