Grungy Edges

In what little spare time I've had just recently I've been creating digital images with grungy edges....a technique I discovered whilst playing with photo brushes and clipping masks. I usually buy these from Designer Digitals; a great place for digital art.
Below is the original free image I used from Flickr:The Creative Commons ( Andrea Balducci) - I then added two more images from the same place.
My second collage has about seven layers including the text.
Again, the original image I used was a free one from Flickr by bricolage 108 (see link above).
Finally, this was a workshop task given to us by DJ Pettitt .......to alter a photograph of a barn that she gave us. It was very challenging ...lots of layers, brushes, cloning, masking....I can't believe how much I've learnt in this class! At the start of the year I sat and looked at Photoshop Elements on my computer screen and thought no way will I ever be able to use this......

Just wandered onto your blog and am awed and amazed by what you do here. Your work is FABULOUS! I am toying with Photoshop but can't get my head around it yet but I long to make art this way. Look forward to dropping in to see you often.

I'm like you, Linda. I can never imagine learning this--these are so beautiful! But you never know, I said that about Suzi's class. I wanted to thank you for your comment on my blog. Did you see that Suzi is having a G. & P. II class in March?

Superb Linda. I was wondering where you had got to, now I know! I especially love the first one with the grungy edges and the altered barn.

I am always in awe of you. I have photoshop elements and at work I have the whole Creative Suite 4 wit the full version. Never get to play and learn tho. Just beautiful pieces of art you've created. :)

I've got Photoshop Elements, and I even have an "easy" book on using it, but so far I've not had the confidence to attempt anything beyond basic photo editing. These are so lovely it (almost) makes me want to have a go ....

Another loud crash as my jaw hits the ground - I'm running out of superlatives.

WOW

I'm behind with my comments (again) my computer's been on a go slow but that's not surprising since we didn't even had a telephone line, let alone internet, for some of last week.

BT - God bless 'em.
