Fabric Collages and Swaps

I've spent the past week making fabric collage pictures...some for myself and some for projects I'm involved in. This one has a background of hand dyed fabric, silk and Angelina. The images and words are printed on fabric using jetFX.

These are just little snippets.... the stitches on the mistle thrush look enormous, but they are actually very tiny!!
I received these gorgeous things from Kimmie a few days ago; we did a 'tea and inchies' swap. I love doing swaps - you never know what surprises there might be in the package!! Kimmie's inchies are fabulous.....as is everything she creates. I recommend a visit to her blog if you haven't been before; its full of inspiration!
Thank you Kimmie.......

I love your fabric collages. I can't use jetFX as I only have a laptop and no printer or scanner, but am thinking about it! I'm just off to see what else Kimmie has been up to - thankyou for the tip.

Oh, Linda, I love this! The gorgeous hand dyed colors, the bird, the music background, the tiny beads and stitches, and even the quote is one of my favorites. You always amaze me with your creative projects!

And thanks for your response to my post. I'm still learning, but writing helps me remember what I've learned and keep focused. Hopefully I won't have to try so hard in the future. :)

Not sure what happened to my previous comment but I will try again. I love the colour of this piece. Thanks also for the reminder that the Arts Festival is next weekend. I had got it in my head that it was in July!
