Iconic Interpretations

I attended another class run by Alysn Midgelow-Marsden on Sunday. This time we transferred images onto metal and fabric (organza and lutrador) ...... more of this in a day or two, but for now here's a little snippet of my (unfinished) piece of work

I'm trying so hard to take a look at all 600+ blogs in OWOH, I haven't really spent time on any of them. Yours is the exception. As I told you in my comment on your OWOH post, we have things in common....I can add doing Tim tags to that now that I've wandered around here for a while.
Yours is one I know I will come back to. I love your work and I find it to be heartfelt and inspiring. Thank you!

I love this piece. I am very taken with icons like this and just did a triptych using some of them. I love the textures you've achieved with yours. It's beautiful.

what a fabulous workshop this looks ~ I love what I see here and the idea of transfering onto different surfaces sounds really exciting. I've been using emulsion paint as a transfer medium for one of my college pieces Im doing and it was a happy accident ~ Id always been scared off so I never done it before and then it goes and happens by chance, anyway Im rambling, hope you're keeping warm and have a wonderful creative day ~ Judy :)
